Writing and Recommendations

I was busy painting a mural on the Music hallway of my school yesterday with a bunch of French exchange student so no blogging took place. Plus I was at the doctors for my knee (long story) and I was very close to walking home with a knee brace on but a very nice girl from Art Club was nice enough to lend me a ride. SO I'm writing Cafe Blog now ! YAY Anyways.........So, I've actually gotten quite a bit of writing done this week, not a huge word count but you know good enough to say I actually accomplished something, and I've reached a transition in the story. So Okay I've done okay this week, and I've discovers a (Well Mur Lafferty discovered I'm just leeching off of it) it's called Writers Beware. It's a pretty awesome blog by A.C. Crispin and a couple of other writers and they basically inform you on all the publishing scams and other rip offs. (Writers beware indeed lol)
Another recommendations I have, I recently discovered the Writer's Digest RSS for Grammar, and since I know that everyone has a bit of trouble with grammar. I know I do at least.

Okay I really don't have much things to say on it today...Mostly I just needed a good picture and this one was the best one I could find. It's basically Coffee with Hot chocolate mixed into it, I personally like it but I don't have a bunch to say about it. So if any one want to participate just jump in at any point.

What if I posted L and S on here...well not here here but on like a Ladies and Saints 1.0 blog...then everyone can read it and give me feed back and advice. Yes yes i like that idea i think I'm going to do it, and I'll set a modest deadline for myself so that i can maybe finish L and S 2.0 before May...

Just a Cup...

Just a cup of coffee...

Meaning just a small teeny blog today. I had the best time of my life on Friday, I went to Anime Boston! and Ilove love loved it! Even if standing in line for over 5 hrs was a bummer that didn't have any effect on my happiness! lol

Now that Igot that out of the way let get to the writing tid bit..

Um, yesterday I wrote my fingers to the bone (not really) and Iwas finally able to get some writing done even if the Internet did interfere a bit.. but then again I'm okay with that. I got some important transition stages out of the way and Iwas able to make sure that the characters and story line fit together nicely. Also I had a mini epiphany...I'm putting my full epic novel on hold so that Ican focus on getting Ladies and Saint together and Ican have better experience when Io go to finish my FIVE BOOK epic story. I put a lot of crap on myself by making my a novel series like that and maybe Ijust need to work on something a tad smaller to officially get my engines working properly? Any similar stories? feel free to share! (Am I talking to myself?) hm, again the question is up in dead air........

haha that really wasn't as short as Iexpected and i haven't even gone on my coffee talk yet...lol

Caffeine Talk-

Just a cup of regular black coffee (with 2 sugars of course). Yes it is good.... But would a 20+ ounce cup of lemon chocolate ( or whatever weird flavor) from Mary-Loo's be better? I don't know...because I've never been...lol

So I want to know...What is your preference? weird absurdly delicious flavor to you favor?

I just like my Carmel Iced Latte (1sugar) from Dunkies..but i wanna know what you think?

BTW- I'm sorry for all the I s that are stuck to the other words.. my comp is doing this weird thing were if I type some thing in the middle of a sentence it will erase previous text and it will make me retype the whole freakin blog! AAAHHHHH!!!!

Fricker Frappuccino

Oh Fricker! (a non swear I stole from T.V.) I haven't updated my Blog in Forever....and even though I'm pretty sure I'm talking to myself I think that's okay...

And if you ask me (and no one did) than that's okay cause venting is good...

I recommend everybody vent... (do it...now! Talk a deep breath and say out loud anything that is bothering you at the moment. Or intone it if your in public, nobody want to look crazy in a Starbucks! ha!

So anyways, I've finally finished Ladies and Saint 1.0 and I've been working hard on Ladies and Saints 2.0, which is going quite well. I'm thinking I'll blog it. See if anyone is interested...

Oh and for those of you who don't know, Ladies and Saints is a novella that I'm working on, it an organic piece. With minimal forethought, the characters pop into my head and the things that happen i don't know much about until they hit the "paper". And so look out for it..it maybe coming your way.

Um, what else... I've decided to put my novel on the back burner for now, considering i need to finish my novella and I'm a little discouraged by the thought of returning to my story. It's been hard, getting back to writing now that I've discovered that a flaw is in my main character. In the long run stepping away might be best even though it makes me sad to think that all this is going down the proverbial drain. Any one with this same problem let me know, we'll feel horrible together...lol

Speaking of Starbucks! I got a Mocha Frappuccino the other day after a Field trip I took, to the MFA (Museum of Fine Art in Boston) and IT WAS AWESOME! It was tasty and sweet and now Starbucks should pay me for that plug! lol any who...if you not a fan I suggest the green tea one cause those are pretty good too. Also PUMPKIN MUFFINS! Okay thats a whole other blog...

Yeah so I'm done for today...I'll try to keep more consistent I'm thinking every Tuesday? hm mm maybe....

Choking on my Characters-

Harper and Jai, Chimera and Nathan......

So Valentine's Day was a while ago and I um, lets just say I despised it...... a little. Okay I HATE it, and since I am psycho, I relish the need to write a lovey dovey part to my story.

Now lets face it, if your the one in love then maybe you ideas won't come out disgustingly cliche and have some meaning behind your artistry. But since I'm none of that, and I actually want to see my characters happy I try. I try, I really try so hard to make it seem as if they were real people, in love. Ick....

I've DONE IT! Yes I've done it. I've finally finished a story.
Ladies and Saints, was a bit of a pet project for me and I was hell bent on finishing something. I just have one problem. The story is not over.
Okay I bet your thinking "What the hell is she talking about?".
Well, I'm basicallly telling you that although my main character has stopped talking to me, stopped telling me her story, it's not over. I want to continue it but she says that all she wants to say. (I'm not schizo by the way) So if she's done and I want to continue do, I tell it from another prospective? hmmm....ponder...ponder...ponder...
p.s.- I apoligize for the typos in the last entry, it was written in a rush and I didn't have time to edit it.

Does anyone else like coffee cake muffins? I LOVE them, and yeah it's like yellow cake and yeah the top is the best part but if you can find the right one. THEY Swirl, yes they do, no more. Half muffin and half coffee cake. Yummy!

Caffeine and Characters

Okay, so what happens when you begin to hate your lead character?

I need an answer to this question because I've begun to hate Harper, my lead girl character. I mean i made it so she wasn't perfect and I also made her a pretty, likeable and loving character. But as I continue to write the more I dislike her. Perhaps it's the fact that I'm making her into someone I want to be or it's because she's too perfect for her love intrest. Conflict between the couple would make for a better story but at the same time, it would be harder to write her saying bad things towards a guy who clearly has woman issues. So has that ever happned to anyone else? Have you ever ended up disliking a character because of what they've become?

Open to all suggestions, even if it mean i might have to change one of the character to better my "relationship" with the other. Any Advice? Similar troubles?

As You must have realized I LOVE coffee. Maybe that's an understatment...lol, my father the caffeine addict that started it all is now proclaiming that coffee is a drug and I being the adalesent that I am, am forbidden to drink it. Though he doesn't know I've been drinking coffee sicne the age of twelve and haven't stopped since. He also doen't realize that they sell coffee at my school, which is pretty naive on his part, but what ever.

I enjoy cappucinos (sp), frappacinos(sp) and any other Cinos...

Coffee black, with two sugars and two creams, or esspresos straight up.....

HA! Take that dad! and the addiction goes on....

Welcome to the Writers cafe!

Were overly caffeinated writers can come and I will give you updates on my writing and you all can give me yours. I'm open to suggestions even if it's just a grammer tip.

I enjoy writing and I hope to hear form more writers like yourselves and you can hope to hear from me.

I just want to thank Mur Lafferty off the bat because although I've never spoken to her, she has inspired me into writing more often and has also indirectly inspired this blog.

If you haven't heard of her, you should check out the ISBW site (I Should Be Writing), and that's what I should be doing write now. So this is just a little intro and I will post tons more things when i get a chance!
